The Artists Behind
Secreto Tango Society
Tango Comes to Life Through Those Who Perform It
Secreto brings together some of the most accomplished dancers, musicians, singers and creators from Buenos Aires’ contemporary tango scene, from world tango champions to an Emmy Award-winning bandoneon player and the lead pianist of Sexteto Mayor.
They are chosen not only for their technique or recognition, but for who they are as artists: their sensitivity, personality, intensity and ability to communicate something real. At Secreto, they are given the space to be themselves, to share their art, their love for tango and the emotion they bring to it.
Music, movement and interpretation unfold only a few feet from the audience, making every gesture, pause and note part of a shared experience. The artists are not there to disappear behind the production. They are the heart of it.
Alicia Vignola
Voice
One of the most expressive voices in Argentine tango. She has taken part in major productions in Buenos Aires and was nominated for the Hugo Award for Best Leading Actress. Her album Azsulado also received a nomination at the Gardel Awards.
At Secreto, her performance combines intensity and vulnerability, taking each song far beyond the music itself.
Horacio Romo
Bandoneón
An internationally acclaimed bandoneonist and one of the leading figures of his generation. He has served as musical director and principal bandoneonist for productions including Tango Argentino, Tango Pasión, and Forever Tango.
He has also performed Astor Piazzolla’s Bandoneon Concerto with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and has been recognized with an Emmy Award.
At Secreto, his bandoneón brings depth, tension, and one of tango’s most essential sounds.

More Than a Cast
The artists of Secreto do not simply arrive to perform choreography or a set repertoire.
Each performance is built through listening and exchange. A glance can change a movement. A single note can transform the atmosphere of the entire room. Tango emerges from that dialogue, alive and present.
That is what makes no two nights exactly the same.
The true secret lies in the people who make it possible.
